IMO, Nigeria – May 29, 2025 –
In a resounding demonstration of its unwavering commitment to education and community development, the Nnaedozie Thomas Foundation (NTF) organized a transformative Career Day event at Young Scientists College on May 29, 2025. The initiative sought not only to inspire and guide students toward fulfilling career paths but also to equip them with essential learning tools.
The event began with an inspiring keynote address by Gloria Oparah, a distinguished leader within NTF, who passionately emphasized the value of education and the pursuit of one’s dreams. Her words set the tone for a day filled with empowerment, motivation, and discovery.
NTF volunteers, alongside a diverse group of professionals—including doctors, engineers, artists, educators, and community leaders—engaged students in interactive sessions that offered real-world insights into various career fields. These personal interactions allowed students to learn about the opportunities, challenges, and skills associated with different professions.

As part of its holistic approach to educational support, NTF distributed educational care packs containing books, pens, and pencils to each student, ensuring they are well-equipped to continue their academic journey. The joy on the students’ faces reflected the impact of both the mentorship and the tangible support they received.
“Education is the foundation of a brighter future, and access to knowledge and resources is a powerful equalizer,” said a spokesperson for NTF. “Through Career Day, we aim to nurture the dreams of young people and provide the tools they need to achieve them.”
The event concluded with heartfelt expressions of gratitude from students and school staff, many of whom lauded NTF for its consistent support of education and youth empowerment.
The Career Day at Young Scientists College stands as a shining example of the Nnaedozie Thomas Foundation’s broader mission: to empower individuals and communities through education, mentorship, and access to essential resources.
